League
Saturday 28th June 1st XI (238-9 C Morgan 56, K Hendy 53) just
avoid defeat in high scoring game at Denham (282-6), 2nd XI not so lucky as
Little Kingshill (242-7, D Varney 4-44) overhaul our total of 238 (S Matias 69,
P Jheeta 50 & 7th wicket partnership of 120 from 96-6).
League Saturday 21st June Lots of runs, few wickets in both games against Chalfont St. Giles, 1st XI score a creditable 235-5 (A Rolls 100*, A Steel 62) but are overhauled in the 41st over, taking only 3 wickets. 2nd XI only take 2 in conceding 282, but do not look in any danger of loosing with 202- 5 (K Baillie 59) in reply, however we fall back to 4th.
Julian Plate semi final 18th June, Holyport reach the final (to be played at Pinkneys Green on 2nd July) after a comprehensive win over the Twilighters, scoring 167 (A Rolls 56) and bowling them out for 90 (T Head 5-27).
League Saturday 14th June 1st XI (197) batting better, but still easily outgunned by Taplow (257-6), 2nd XI bowl well to dismiss Taplow (103), weakened batting line up again fragile, loosing 6 wickets in a successful chase but gain just enough points to go back to second.
League Saturday 7th June Neither side able to hold a bat, 1st XI now rock bottom after being bowled out for 117 and showing very little penetration in the bowling, taking only 3 wickets as Binfield overhauled the total on a tricky wicket. 10 man 2nd XI bowled better, restricting Binfield to 143-9 (T Head 5-29) but were shot out for 110 in 30 overs and fall back to 4th.
League Saturday 31st May Both sides league positions unchanged after two winning draws on a weekend with lots of low scores after Friday's rain. First XI (205-9, A Rolls 96) recovered from a lousy start in both innings to comfortably hold Englefield (157-7), 2nd XI (224, T Head 74) again well in control but fail to bowl out Great Kingshill (150-8)
League Saturday 24th May Seemed like it was Morgans vs Nunn as first XI tumble to 9th having failed to support Christopher's maiden 1st XI league hundred as Braywood (220-7, P Morgan 4-34) overhaul our 218 all out (C Morgan 124*). 2nd XI (158-8) on the other hand up to within a point of top after squeezing past Amersham Hill (157).
League Saturday 17th May Contrasting performances as fragile 1st XI (114) are overwhelmed by Wraysbury (234-6) but 2nd XI (256-6, M Francis 125* - maiden century!) nearly pull off of a comprehensive victory at Wraysbury (173-9)
League Saturday 10th May Both XIs fall to 5th place after disappointing results against Penn & Tylers Green. 1st XI conceed 300 for 7 but manage 202 for 7 in reply thanks to Pat Davies (54) and 3 fours from the last 3 balls by James Walker. 10 man 2nd XI (161) heavily beaten, chasing 231 for 7.
League Saturday 3rd May Suprisingly rain affected weekend leaves both XIs in second place after double header against Winchmore. 1st XI (160) failed to bowl out opposition (134-8) but 2nd XI (103) manage it to win by 18 runs.
